Meta Plans to Add Celebrity Voices to Its AI Chatbot, Secures Deals with Actors

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, is preparing to reveal new voice features for its Meta AI chatbot, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The announcement, expected this week, will confirm deals with celebrities such as Judi Dench, Kristen Bell, and John Cena to provide voices for the AI assistant.
Other stars, including Awkwafina and Keegan-Michael Key, are also part of the lineup, offering users the ability to choose from five celebrity voices or several generic options, the source told Reuters.
The new feature is expected to be unveiled during Meta’s annual Connect conference, which kicks off on Wednesday.
The celebrity voices will roll out in the U.S. and other English-speaking regions across Meta’s suite of apps, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
