Dangote Refinery Announces Reduction of Petrol Price

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has lowered the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre, effective August 12, 2025. 

The ₦30 reduction was announced by Anthony Chiejina, the Refinery’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, in a statement emphasizing the company’s dedication to supporting Nigeria’s economic growth. 

The Refinery assured Nigerians of a steady and reliable supply of petroleum products, underscoring its commitment to national development.

“In line with our dedication to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions, Dangote Petroleum Refinery will commence the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria, effective August 15, 2025,” the statement added.
