BREAKING: Court Frees Ibom Air Passenger, Emmanson

On Wednesday, Comfort Emmanson, previously detained at Kirikiri prison for allegedly assaulting an Ibom Air staff member, was released following a court hearing.

Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami of the Samuel Ilori Courthouse in Ogba, Lagos, dismissed the case after the Lagos Airport Police Command withdrew all charges against her.

Prosecutor Inspector Olubunmi Adeitan informed the court that the withdrawal was due to new evidence received after Emmanson’s arraignment on Monday.

The defense counsel raised no objections, and Magistrate Salami subsequently struck out the charges, granting Emmanson her freedom.
