
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo, has been declared the winner of the Edo State Governorship Election.
The announcement was made by Farouk Adamu, the returning officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Benin City, the state capital, on Sunday.
Okpebholo secured victory with a total of 291,667 votes, defeating his closest contender, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 247,244 votes.
