Senate President Godswill Akpabio has extended heartfelt congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio urged the Muslim community to reflect on and embody the Prophet’s teachings of peace, compassion, and dedication to serving others.
“On behalf of the senate, my family, and constituents, I extend warm felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters as you celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
“May this auspicious occasion bring peace, joy, and blessings to our great nation and the world at large,” the senate president said.
“As we commemorate the life and teachings of the Prophet, I urge you to draw inspiration from his virtues of harmony, love, and service to humanity.
“May we all strive to live in unity, embracing the values of compassion, kindness, and selflessness that the Prophet exemplified,” Akpabio further said.
He prayed that the celebration ushers in a new era of peace, prosperity, and progress for our nation.
