Former Presidential Spokesperson, Doyin Okupe Passes Away

Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson and renowned political strategist, has passed away. 

His death was confirmed on Friday.

The circumstances of Dr. Doyin Okupe’s death remain undisclosed as of the time of this report.

Okupe served as Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and later as Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. He also played a key role in Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election, serving as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s campaign.
