WWE Legend Hulk Hogan Passes Away at 71

Terry Gene Bollea, widely known as Hulk Hogan, a towering figure in professional wrestling, died on Thursday at the age of 71.

The news was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) following an incident at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Hogan, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, was a cultural phenomenon in the 1980s, propelling wrestling into mainstream entertainment with his larger-than-life persona, signature red-and-yellow gear, and catchphrase, “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”.

His career highlights include six WWE championships and headlining WrestleMania eight times, most notably against Andre the Giant in 1987.

The wrestling icon suffered a reported cardiac arrest early Thursday morning, prompting a response from Clearwater police and emergency medical services.

Despite efforts to save him, Hogan was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital.

His wife, Sky Daily, had recently dismissed rumors of his declining health, stating he was recovering from a May neck surgery.

Hogan’s influence extended beyond the ring, with appearances in films like Rocky III and Mr. Nanny, as well as his reality show Hogan Knows Best.

He leaves behind his wife, Sky, and children, Nick and Brooke.
