Senator Natasha Prevented from Entering National Assembly

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, was denied entry to the National Assembly on Tuesday despite her resolute attempt to resume her legislative duties.

Arriving around noon in a black vehicle, the senator was halted by security operatives at the first gate of the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
After a brief delay, Senator Natasha stepped out of her car and proceeded on foot, joined by a group of supporters, including prominent activist Aisha Yesufu.
The group managed to bypass the initial checkpoint but faced further resistance at the second gate, where security personnel instructed them to turn back.
Undeterred, the senator and her supporters pressed forward, only to be stopped by a locked gate, preventing their entry into the main premises.
Despite attempts to gain entry, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and her team of supporters were denied access.
The Kogi lawmaker said she will consult her legal team to know the next steps.
