Six Killed in Southern Ukraine Amidst Russian Strikes – Regional Governors


Overnight Russian airstrikes in southern Ukraine left at least six dead, injured 21 others, including five children, and ignited multiple buildings, regional officials reported Monday.
According to regional governors on the Telegram messaging app, five people lost their lives in the Mykolaiv region, while one person was killed in Zaporizhzhia, where a residential building was destroyed.
Among the injured in Zaporizhzhia were five children aged between 4 and 17.
According to Reuters, the reports have not been independently verified and Russia has not yet comment.
The Ukrainian air force said later on Monday it shot down two missiles and 39 out of 74 drones launched by Russia overnight.
The air force said 30 more drones were lost in Ukrainian air space and three more left toward Belarus and territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
