Trump Condemns Israel, Iran for Violating Ceasefire Agreement

U.S President Donald Trump on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, criticized Israel for its swift military response that breached a newly brokered ceasefire agreement, while also expressing frustration with Iran for contributing to the escalation. 

Speaking to reporters, Trump voiced his disappointment with both nations for undermining the truce mere hours after he announced it, though he directed particular ire at Israel’s actions.

“I’m not happy with them,” Trump declared, addressing the rapid violation of the ceasefire. 

“I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal. They didn’t have to unload, and I didn’t like that the retaliation was very strong.” 

He noted that Israel’s strikes were launched almost immediately after the agreement was finalized, describing the assault as “the biggest load of bombs we’ve seen, the likes of which I’ve never seen before.”

Trump suggested that Israel’s response was disproportionate, triggered by what he described as a minor provocation. 

“In all fairness, Israel unloaded a lot, and now I hear they just went out because they felt it was violated by one rocket that didn’t land anywhere. That’s not what we want,” he said, emphasizing the need for restraint to honor the ceasefire.

While critical of Israel, Trump also expressed frustration with Iran, acknowledging that both sides contributed to the breakdown of the truce. 

“I’m not happy with Israel, and I’m not happy with Iran either,” he stated candidly.

He characterized the conflict as a prolonged and chaotic struggle, remarking, “The two sides have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*** they’re doing.”
