President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the decline in food prices ahead of the Muslim month of Ramadan.
He stated this known while speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Wednesday.
“On the economy, I am happy food prices are going down, particularly during this Ramadan period,” he stated.
In his address, Tinubu also assured the public of the sustainability of the progressive changes introduced by his administration.
“Let the NEC find a way to celebrate our progressive ideals and I promise you, our governors and Nigerians, that we will sustain these progressive changes.”
He also urged the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to set up reconciliatory committees to liaise with aggrieved leaders in various states.
“The National Working Committee, NWC, is doing a good job and I am happy with them. In all the various states, let us set up reconciliatory committees to liaise with these aggrieved leaders. I am appealing to them, please be calm. I am very happy and I promise not to let any of you down,” he added.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari, his Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as well as Amaechi and el-Rufai, were among the APC NEC members absent from the meeting.
