Trump Urges Evacuation of Tehran as Iran-Israel Conflict Intensifies

Amid continued hostilities between Israel and Iran, now entering a fifth consecutive day, U.S. President Donald Trump has advised Iranian citizens to evacuate the capital city of Tehran.

Speaking after his early exit from the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada, Trump emphasized that his decision to leave had no connection to reports of a U.S.-backed ceasefire initiative.

This statement followed remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron, who claimed that Washington had proposed a truce between the warring nations.

“Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform late on Monday.

The U.S. president had earlier said Iran should have signed a deal with the United States and urged residents to evacuate the Iranian capital.

“Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Trump said on Monday.
