U.S. Envoy Cautions Hezbollah Against Involvement in Israel-Iran Conflict

U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, has issued a stern warning to Hezbollah, stating that any involvement in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict would be a serious miscalculation.

Speaking on the rising tensions in the region, Barrack emphasized that Hezbollah’s intervention could escalate the situation further, describing such a move as a “very bad decision” with potentially far-reaching consequences.

“I can say on behalf of President Trump … that would be a very, very, very bad decision,” Barrack said in response to a question about the group’s potential role.

Hezbollah, the Iran-backed paramilitary group based in Lebanon, suffered major losses during last year’s conflict with Israel.

The group was dealt a significant blow with the reported assassination of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

Additionally, explosions linked to communication devices used by its members resulted in thousands of injuries, marking one of the most damaging episodes in the group’s recent history.
