Saudi Arabia has declared that Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic festival marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, will commence on Sunday.
“The Supreme Court has decided that tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, 2025, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr,” the Royal Court announced in a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency on X.
Eid al-Fitr’s start date is based on the sighting of the crescent moon, following the Islamic lunar calendar. Both the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have also confirmed that the holiday will begin on Sunday.
