Mr Memee Timothy, the Ifo Unit Commander of FRSC, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMotorists should refrain from speeding, wrongful overtaking and driving against traffic that could lead to unnecessary loss of lives during Easter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey should also stop overloading and drunk driving to minimise road crashes,\u201d Timothy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He disclosed that personnel of the Corps would be deployed to monitor and control traffic as well as respond to emergencies involving accidents and broken down vehicles during the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur men will also be at strategic places and road construction areas to arrest those with overloading and driving without driver\u2019s licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn addition, we are appealing to motorists to cooperate with FRSC personnel and other sister agencies to make Easter a hitch-free festival,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
