Trump Dismisses Senior U.S. Military Commander

In an unprecedented shake-up of U.S. military leadership, President Donald Trump on Friday fired the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General C.Q. Brown.
Five other admirals and generals were also pushed out.
Trump said that he would nominate former Lieutenant General Dan “Razin” Caine to succeed Brown. He disclosed this in a post on Truth Social.
This decision would break tradition by pulling someone out of retirement for the first time to become the top military officer.
Trump will also replace the head of the U.S. Navy, a position held by Admiral Lisa Franchetti, the first woman to lead a military service, as well as the air force vice chief of staff, the Pentagon said.
He is also removing the judge advocates general for the Army, Navy and Air Force, critical positions that ensure enforcement of military justice.
